Christopher Boykin aka “Big Black” was an American reality star and bodyguard. He was best known for the MTV series Rob & Big, and Fantasy Factory. He was best friends with skateboarder and entrepreneur Rob Dyrdek. Boykin was born on January 13, 1972, in Wiggins, Mississippi. He served as a chef in the U.S. Navy prior to his career.
CAREER
Boykin starred opposite Rob Dyrdek on the MTV series, Rob & Big. His role was that of a bodyguard. The show ran from November 2006 to April 2008 for 31 episodes. Boykin joined Rob Dyrdek once more on the reality series Fantasy Factory. He was added to the main cast starting with season 4. Boykin’s television credits also include Ridiculousness, Guy Code, The B-List, and Sk8 Life. He was featured in the video games ‘Skate’ and ‘Skate 2’. Both games were developed by EA Black Box.
Boykin held two Guinness World records, one for peeling and eating bananas and the other for eating powdered doughnuts. He was also known for his clothing line ‘Big Black (Do Work)’ which launched in 2007. It features a variety of hats and t-shirts.
