Christie Brinkley is an American model, actress, designer, and children’s activist. She rose to prominence in the late 1970s and dominated the fashion world in the 1980s. Brinkley has been featured on hundreds of magazine covers including multiple Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues. She served as the face of CoverGirl cosmetics for 25 years. Brinkley was born Christie Lee Hudson on February 2, 1954, in Monroe, Michigan. Her biological parents were Marjorie Bowling and Herbert Hudson. She was raised by her mom and husband Don Brinkley. She has a brother named Greg. The family lived in Los Angeles, California, where Brinkley attended Palisades High School. She moved to Paris, France in 1972 to study art.

Brinkley was first discovered by a photographer while she was studying art in Paris. Brinkley made her acting debut in the film, National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983), starring Chevy Chase. The role was reprised in Vegas Vacation (1997). She made a cameo appearance in the comedy Jack and Jill (2011) alongside Adam Sandler and Katie Holmes. Brinkley made her stage debut as “Roxie Hart” in a 2011 production of the hit musical, Chicago.
