Chris Wallace is an Emmy Award winning American television show host. He’s best known as the anchor of Fox News Sunday. Wallace was born to parents Norma Kaphan and Mike Wallace on October 12, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. He had an older brother named Peter who died in 1961. Wallace’s parents divorced early and he was raised by his mother and stepfather Bill Leonard. He attended The Hotchkiss School followed by Harvard University. He graduated in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.

CAREER
Wallace got his first on-air experience while attending Harvard. He reported for the FM radio station, WHRB, which is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Wallace began his professional career in 1975 with NBC at WNBC-TV. He was hired as NBC’s Chief White House correspondent in 1982, a position he held until 1989. During his tenure, Wallace covered events like the presidential campaigns and the political party conventions. He served as a moderator for Meet the Press, and as an anchor for NBC Nightly News on Sundays.

Wallace spent 14 years with ABC starting in 1989. He held the title of senior correspondent for Primetime Thursday. He also hosted the late-night program, Nightline, on a number of occasions. Wallace joined the staff at the Fox News Channel in 2003. He replaced journalist Tony Snow as the anchor of Fox News Sunday. In 2016, he was chosen as the moderator of the third presidential debate between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Wallace has won multiple awards including three Emmys and a Peabody Award. He was honored with the Paul White Award in 2013 for a lifetime achievement in electronic journalism.
