Cesar Sayoc is a former bodybuilder, male dancer, DJ, and pizza delivery man. He was arrested in October 2018 as the main suspect in the U.S. mail bombing attempts. A total of 13 pipe bombs were sent to prominent Democrats across the United States. If convicted, he’ll face up to 48 years behind bars. Sayoc was born to Madeline Giardiello on March 17, 1962, in Brooklyn, New York. His father abandoned him as a child. He has two sisters Sabrina and Tina. Sayoc moved to Aventura, Florida in the 1980s. He attended North Carolina’s Brevard College and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He was a member of the soccer team during college.

CAREER
Sayoc once sought a career in bodybuilding. He spent several years performing as a male dancer at various adult entertainment clubs throughout Florida. His most recent gig was as a pizza delivery driver. He drove for New River Pizza and Fresh Kitchen before quitting in January 2018. According to his LinkedIn, Sayoc served as a booking agent for male strippers and burlesque shows. His Twitter bio describes him as a project manager, booking agent, marketing, and sales manager at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. However, the Seminole Tribe of Florida quickly denied those claims.

Sayoc was arrested on October 26, 2018, as the main suspect in a series of mail bombing attempts. None of the bombs exploded. He was charged with 5 federal crimes and could face up to 48 years in prison. The targets included Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden, George Soros and Cory Booker. The packages were marked with the return address of U.S. Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Investigators concluded that Sayoc lived in his white Dodge van. They also believed the pipe bombs were made inside the van after finding soldering equipment, envelopes, and stamps among other supplies. Prior to the bombing case, Sayoc has been arrest more than 8 times. Charges include drug possession, grand theft, battery, and fraud. He pleaded guilty to a 2002 arrest after threatening to blow up the power company “Florida Power & Light” if they turned off his light.

He previously lived with his family in a condo in Aventura, Florida. Sayoc’s van sports pro-Trump stickers and anti-Democrat messages. He’s also known for posting anti-Muslim memes on social media. Sayoc filed for bankruptcy in 2012. Court documents listed his total assets at $4,175 and his liabilities at $21,109.
