Casey Neistat is an American YouTuber, filmmaker, and vlogger. He co-founded the multimedia company Beme Inc. His YouTube channel boasts 8.3+ million subscribers and over 1.9 billion video views. His film credits include Daddy Longlegs (2009) and Nerve (2016). Neistat was born on March 25, 1981, in Gales Ferry, Connecticut. His parents are Barry and Amy. Their mobile app ‘Beme’ was released in July 2015 for the iOS platform. A version for Android devices was released on the Google Play Store in May 2016. The app allowed users to record and share unedited short videos to their subscribers. Beme received seed funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners and VaynerRSE. They raised over $6 million by May 2016. Beme Inc. was acquired by CNN in 2016, and the Beme app went offline in January 2017.
