Brigitte Macron is a retired high school teacher and current First Lady of France. She’s the wife of Emmanuel Macron, the current President of France. Macron was born Brigitte Marie-Claude Trogneux on April 13, 1953, in Amiens, France. She had five older siblings. Her late parents Simone and Jean Trogneux were chocolate makers. The owned the five-generation Chocolaterie Trogneux (now know as Jean Trogneux). They’re best known for their macarons.

CAREER
Ms. Macron began her career as a teacher in the 1980s. She taught literature at the College Lucie-Berger in Strasbourg. She met her future husband in 1992 while teaching at the Jesuit high school, Lycee la Providence. There she taught French and Latin. She was also the head of the theater club. Ms. Macron ran an unsuccessful campaign for the city council of Truchtersheim in 1989. She returned to the political front in 2016-17 in support of her husband’s presidential campaign. She served as a political advisor and strategist.

Brigitte Macron is about 5ft 4in tall and she’s of French descent. She was married to banker ‘Andre-Louis Auzier’ from 1974 to 2006. They had three children, Sebastien, Laurence, and Tiphaine Auziere. Brigitte married politician ‘Emmanuel Macron’ in 2007. She’s 24 years and 8 months his senior. Emmanuel Macron served as President of En Marche! from April 2016 to May 2017. He was sworn into office as the President of the French Republic on May 14, 2017.
