Bonner Bolton is an American professional bull rider and fashion model. He was born on June 1, 1987 in Odessa, Texas. His father, Toya, was a professional bull rider for 2 decades. His mom is Sally, and he has four siblings: Brody, Bridger, Bliss and Brylee. Bolton was raised on a ranch in West Texas. He attended both Odessa College and the Texas Technical Academy on bull riding scholarships.

CAREER
Bolton was trained by his father. He began riding at age 10 and turned professional at age 18. Bolton made his Championship Bull Riding (CBR) debut in 2007. He won the 2007 CBR World Championship. He was 20 at the time. He’s also won the 2011 CBR Las Vegas Championship and the 2013 CBR Hobbs Championship.

Bolton suffered a serious injury during the 2016 PBR’s season opener in Chicago. He landed on his head while dismounting the bull. The incident left him with a splintered C-2 vertebra and he was temporarily paralyzed for several hours. Bolton underwent successful spinal fusion surgery and made a full recovery after six months. His previous injuries included a torn bicep in 2008 and a broken collarbone in 2015.

Bolton signed with IMG Models following the 2016 incident. He’s since been featured in photo shoots and ad campaigns for brands like Saks Fifth Avenue and Br4ss underwear. Bolton played actor Scott Eastwood’s stunt double in the romantic drama, The Longest Ride (2015). He was selected as a contestant for season 24 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. His professional dance partner is Sharna Burgess.
