ORIGIN
BigTreeSteve is an American musician and recording artist. Currently independent and unsigned, he is still creating a buzz all over the world. He was born Steve Ghant Jr. on June 4th, 2001, in Daytona Beach, Florida at Halifax Health Medical Center. Before he could even crawl, Tree showed a great interest in music. As a child, he moved around the country quite often and found his way to the Bay Area, where he primarily resided. BigTreeSteve now stays in San Francisco and attends the Academy of Art University, majoring in Music Production/Sound Design.

CAREER
As a youngster, Steve demonstrated his musical talent. From playing the piano at age 5 to performing in school bands throughout elementary and middle school, his life revolved around music. He credits his grandfather for getting him involved in different genres at a young age. BigTreeSteve started pursuing music in late 2016, uploading tracks on SoundCloud. With meager financial means for studio time, he would record music onto a laptop using Apple earphones. Some of his earliest songs include tracks like “Sooner/Crazy,” “Evergreen,” and “Karrueche” featuring 24kGoldn. When asked who inspired him, Tree mentions Speaker Knockerz, Guapdad 4000, Lil Yachty, and Roddy Ricch. He continued his steady pace of music production, but it wasn’t until 2018 that he garnered a small buzz.

On November 19, 2017, BigTreeSteve released “Effortless,” with the internet personality and frequent collaborator, Steven Guess a.k.a. “Caramel Express.” The song surpassed all of his previous releases and now stands at 26.2 thousand-plus hits. His first official release on all platforms was the single “Move,” produced by Sono. His debut tape titled “Gemini300” was released on April 13, 2019. This project showcased the diversity of BigTreeSteve’s styles of rapping, singing, and production. Rumor has it: he’s currently working on another project, but no major announcement or official release date has been verified.

PERSONAL
BigTreeSteve’s height is 6ft4in and he is a Gemini. Throughout his high school years, he played basketball and soccer. He has a heart, made of a treble and bass clef, tattooed on the left side of his chest. On the right, Steve has a tattoo of his grandparents’ birthdays in roman numerals. Steve values his education, which explains why he is still enrolled in college. He loves Arizona Teas and Juices, and has a fascination with anime.
