Ansel Elgort is an American actor and singer. His film credits include Carrie (2013), The Fault in Our Stars (2014), Baby Driver (2017), and The Divergent film series. He’s released songs like “Home Alone” and “All I Think About Is You”. Elgort was born on March 14, 1994, in Manhattan, New York. His father, Arthur, is a fashion photographer, and his mother, Grethe, an opera director. He has a brother, Warren, and a sister, Sophie. Elgort attended The Professional Performing Arts School in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. He also studied at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School.

CAREER
In 1997, Elgort was featured in his father’s photography book ‘Camera Ready: How to Shoot Your Kids’. At age 9 he appeared in a production of ‘The Nutcracker’ at the School of American Ballet. Elgort began acting lessons at age 12, which led to a role in Matt Charman’s play ‘Regrets’. He appeared in the musicals ‘Hairspray’ and ‘Guys and Dolls’ during high school. He also spent several summers at the Stagedoor Manor performing arts camp. Elgort made his big-screen debut in the horror flick, Carrie (2013), starring Chloe Grace Moretz. The film was directed by Kimberly Peirce and it made $85 million at the box office. Elgort starred as “Caleb Prior” in Divergent (2014). The film was based on Veronica Roth’s 2011 novel of the same name. The role of Caleb Prior was reprised in Insurgent (2015) and Allegiant (2016).

Elgort starred as “Augustus Waters” opposite Shailene Woodley in The Fault in Our Stars (2014). His next big role was that of “Baby / Miles” in the action-crime film, Baby Driver (2017). The film was directed by Edgar Wright and the main cast include Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx and < href="https://www.famousbirthsdeaths.com/lily-james/">Lily James.
