Anderson .Paak is an American R&B singer, songwriter, rapper, and music producer. He was formerly known as Breezy Lovejoy. His discography includes the albums Venice (2014), Malibu (2016), and the EP Link Up & Suede (2015). He’s one-half of the music duo NxWorries with record producer Knxwledge. Brandon Paak Anderson was born on February 8, 1986, in Oxnard, California. He has three sisters, two older and one younger. His father, now dead, spent several years in prison for assaulting his mother. Paak attended Foothill Technology High School in Ventura, California. He worked at a marijuana farm in Santa Barbara prior to music.

Paak began his music career as a drummer. He gained experience playing at his local church in Oxnard, California. His early projects were released under the moniker, Breezy Lovejoy. Paak and hip-hop record producer Knxwledge formed the musical duo ‘NxWorries’ in 2015. Their debut EP, Link Up & Suede, was released by Stones Throw Records in December 2015. It was led by the singles “Suede” and “Link Up”. Their debut studio album, Yes Lawd!, was released in October 2016. It peaked at #3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts with songs like “Lyk Dis” and “Get Bigger / Do U Luv”. Paak was featured on Dr. Dre‘s comeback album, Compton (2015). Oxnard peaked at #11 on the Billboard 200. It supported by singles “Who R U?” and “Tints” featuring Kendrick Lamar. Guest appearances were made by J. Cole, Pusha T, Q-Tip and a few others.
