Amine is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. He entered the spotlight with the 2016 single “Caroline”. His discography includes Good for You (2017), OnePointFive (2018), and Limbo (2020). Adam Amine Daniel was born on April 18, 1994, in Portland, Oregon. He attended Benson Polytechnic High School where he also played basketball.

CAREER
Amine began rapping for fun while in high school. His debut mixtape, Odyssey to Me, was independently released in January 2014. He followed up with the EP, En Vogue (2014), and a second mixtape, Calling Brio (2015). His debut single “Caroline” was released in March 2016 by Republic Records. It was co-produced with Pasque. The song peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It was certified 3x Platinum in the U.S. with more than 3 million copies sold. The official music video for ‘Caroline’ was posted to YouTube on June 1, 2016. It had since racked up more than 165 million views. Amine was a musical guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in November 2016.

Amine is currently signed to Republic Records. His second single “Baba” was released in November 2016. He collaborated with pop singer Kehlani on the 2017 track “Heebiejeebies”. His controversial song “REDMERCEDES” was released in March 2017 and the music video in April 2017. Amine was 1 of 10 named to the 2017 XXL Freshman Class. The issue marked the 10th anniversary of the Freshman franchise. Other winners include XXXTentacion, Ugly God and Playboi Carti.

Amine’s debut studio album, Good for You, was released in July 2017 by CLBN and Republic. It sold 500+ units and was certified Gold by the RIAA. In August 2018, Amine dropped his third mixtape titled ‘OnePointFive.’ It was supported by the single “Reel It In.” The tape featured guest verses from Gunna, G Herbo, and Rico Nasty. Two years later, Amine released his sophomore album Limbo (2020). It secured a #16 placement on the Billboard 200 with songs like “Shimmy”, “Compensating” and “Riri” with Summer Walker.
