Aaron Carter was an American pop singer, songwriter, and actor. He released 6 studio albums including Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) (2000), Oh Aaron (2001), Another Earthquake (2002), and Blacklisted (2022). His acting credits include the film Popstar (2005), the series ‘7th Heaven’, and the Broadway play ‘The Fantasticks’. Carter was born to parents Jane and Robert Carter on December 7, 1987, in Tampa, Florida. He had four siblings, Nick, Angel, Bobbie Jean, and Leslie (d. 2012). He also had three half-siblings, Taelyn, Ginger, and Kaden. Carter attended Miles Elementary School. Carter attended Frank D. Miles Elementary School in Lake Magdalene, Florida. CAREER
Carter began singing at the age of 7. He was the lead vocalist for the band Dead End. After two years he left the group to pursue a solo career as a pop artist. Carter’s self-titled debut studio album was released in 1997 by Edel Music. It included tracks like “Crazy Little Party Girl”, “Please Don’t Go Girl” and “Crush on You”. His debut achieved Gold status in countries like Canada and Germany. Carter’s second album, Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), was released in September 2000 by Jive Records. The album was a commercial success with more than 3 million copies sold in the United States. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 and was certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA. It was led by the singles “I Want Candy” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq”. Carter’s next two albums were Oh Aaron (2001) and Another Earthquake (2002). Both projects were released by Jive Records.
In 2018, Carter released his 5th studio album, Love, via the Sony Music label. It featured the singles “Fool’s Gold” and “Sooner or Later.” Carter’s body of work includes the EPs, Surfin’ USA (1999), The Music Never Stopped (2015), and LØVË (2017). In 2001, Carter made his Broadway debut in Seussical the Musical. He was cast as “JoJo the Who”. His stage credits also include ‘The Fantasticks’. Carter made his small screen debut in a 2001 episode of the Disney series Lizzie McGuire. He voiced the character “Joseph Plumb Martin” for the PBS animated series Liberty’s Kids (2002). In 2006, he starred alongside his 4 siblings in the documentary reality series, House of Carters. The show ran on E! for a total of 8 episodes.
