50 Cent is an American rapper, actor, and business mogul. He’s head of the hip-hop group G-Unit. His discography includes Get Rich or Die Tryin’ (2003), The Massacre (2005), and Curtis (2007). He’s worked with labels such as Shady Records, Aftermath Entertainment, Interscope Records, and Capitol Records. As an actor, 5 Cent had prominent roles in Righteous Kill (2008), Escape Plan (2013), and Den of Thieves (2018). He co-stars as “Kanan” on the Starz drama series Power (2014-). 50 Cent was born Curtis James Jackson III on July 6, 1975, in Queens, New York. He was raised by a single mother, Sabrina Jackson, in the neighborhood of Jamaica. She was killed when he was about 8 years old. Jackson was taken in by his grandmother. He attended Andrew Jackson High School but dropped out before completing his diploma. He was arrested in his late teen for selling drugs to an undercover police officer.
